New Products for Electrical Insulation and Isolation Applications

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics offers two new products for Electrical Insulation and Isolation applications.  These products were developed in response to Permacel discontinuing P247 (equal to CW01) and P262 (equal to N203).

CHR® CW01 is a Polyester Glass Filament tape manufactured from a 1 mil polyester with fiberglass reinforcement and acrylic adhesive.  This product offers excellent heat resistance up to 155°C.  It has a superior tensile strength and adhesion with a high dielectric breakdown voltage. 

CHR® N203 is manufactured from a 2 mil thick Nomex Aramid Paper backing material with 1.6 mils of flame retardant acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive.  This product offers excellent heat and flame resistance, as well as excellent mechanical strength.  It is resistant to acids, alkalis, refrigerants, and various wire enamels and varnishes.
