CHR® Cloth-Glass, Aramid PTFE Tape
CHR® SGK5-05 is manufactured from extra strength, para-aramid (phenyleneterephthalamide) fiber cloth impregnated with a dispersion of anti-static PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coated with a high temperature silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. The anti-static version of this product is black, providing protection from UV damage, to which para-aramid fiber cloth is susceptible. Resistivity of this version is less than 10
6 ohms/square.
SGK5-05 is specifically designed to resist abrasion and provide added strength in high-temperature wrapping applications where standard fiberglass cloth does not provide adequate chemical resistance and/or low friction release.
